Esben Kyhring is a senior public prosecutor and head of Økokrim's Corruption Team. This Team has special responsibility for Økokrim's efforts to prevent corruption and prosecute corruption offences. Other Økokrim responsibilities in the anti-corruption area, including development of expertise, support to local police districts and international cooperation, are also part of the Team's remit. Kyhring has led the investigation of and prosecuted in court a number of major economic crime cases. Before joining Økokrim, Kyhring held roles including secretary to the Criminal Procedure Committee, police prosecutor in Oslo Police District and adviser to the Ministry of Justice.
