Bjørn Tore Saltvik is a Norwegian national and a former police officer. He has university studies in the field of Political Science, Democracy development, Project Management and Risk Management, with a specific emphasis on Eastern European societies. He has an extensive background from the Norwegian police, serving at the Oslo Police HQ for the Drugs Enforcement unit, the National Counter Terrorism unit, as well as many years for the Norwegian Police Security Service. Bjørn also served a few years for the Ministry of Justice and Public Security. His international postings consist of a position as Security Coordinator for the NATO HQ in Brussels, as the Nordic Police Liaison Officer at the Norwegian Embassy and the NCIS in London, monitor for the OSCE in Donbas, Ukraine, and as Adviser on Counter Terrorism for EUAM in Kyiv, Ukraine. He has also more than 15 years experience as a Security Manager for large corporations and as a consultant investigating corruption cases both in Norway and abroad. Bjørn is currently in a position as Adviser on Police Reform at the OSCE Secretariat in Vienna, Austria.
