Benedicte has more than 30 years of experience from the financial sector, industry and shipping. Previous experience includes being Head of Corporate Banking in DNB, Head of Corporate Market in Fremtind Insurance, Head of Corporate Affairs in a Private Equity asset management company, group executive for the Capital Markets Division in Sparebanken Vest, finance director in Rieber & Søn, corporate banking in Citibank and several years within investment banking and shipping. She holds an MSc in Economics and Business Administration from the Norwegian School of Economics.

Benedicte Schilbred Fasmer also has more than 20 years of board experience as non-executive director in listed and unlisted companies within several industries as well as government owned businesses e.g. Oslo Stock Exchange (Chairman) Entra ASA, Norges Bank (Central Bank of Norway), Export Credit Norway, Sevan Drilling, Norwegian Air Shuttle, Farvatn AS. She is currently iNED and Chair of the Risk Committee in Vocalink Limited, UK and board member in Sparebank1 Gruppen AS and Sparebank1 Utvikling DA.

Benedicte is a member of the UN High Level Panel on International Financial Accountability, Transparency and Integrity for Achieving the 2030 Agenda (the FACTI Panel).
