Malin Helgesen specializes in advising clients on international standards and the growing regulation on business and human rights. She has long experience from advising the full range of business organizations (from corporate boards, to local work sites) on all matters within the business and human rights field across all continents; from policy to practice; from internal risk management to external communication and handling of criticism and formal allegations of human rights abuse; from culture building to assurance processes. Malin has previously worked as a corporate legal human rights counsel for many years. She is a regular panel speaker; and lectures in business and human rights at universities in Sweden and, previously, in Norway. Her prior experience also includes more than a decade’s work as an attorney at other law firms in Sweden and Norway, and a senior advisory position on human rights at the Council of Ethics for the Norwegian Government Pension Fund Global. Malin holds an LL.M. in international law from London School of Economics.
