Pål K. Lønseth ble i juni 2020 utnevnt som Sjef for Økokrim.
Han har tidligere vært partner i PwC og advokat, og leder for PwC Gransking og Compliance i Norge fra april 2014. Han kom til PwC fra stillingen som statssekretær i Justis- og beredskapsdepartementet (2009-2013). Før dette arbeidet han som statsadvokat både i Oslo og ved Det nasjonale statsadvokatembetet for bekjempelse av organisert og annen alvorlig kriminalitet, som Legal Advisor i et FN-prosjekt i Afghanistan og som dommerfullmektig. Han har også arbeidet som politiadvokat.

In June 2020, Pål K. Lønseth was appointed Head of Økokrim.
He has previously been a partner in PwC and a lawyer, and head of PwC Investigation and Compliance in Norway from April 2014. He joined PwC from the position of State Secretary in the Ministry of Justice and Public Security (2009-2013). Prior to this, he worked as a public prosecutor both in Oslo and at the National Public Prosecutor's Office for the fight against organized and other serious crime, as a Legal Advisor in a UN project in Afghanistan and as an assistant judge. He has also worked as a police attorney.
