About Oslo Anti-Corruption Conference

The founding organizers for the Oslo Anti-Corruption Conference initiated in 2014, were Transparency International Norway (TI), the Norwegian National Authority for Investigation and Prosecution of Economic and Environmental Crime (ØKOKRIM), law firm Selmer and advisory firm Kvamme Associates AS as the Conference Chair. At the conference in 2023, NHO - The Confederation of Norwegian Enterprise - has joined as organizer and host of the conference.

Within the ninth conference in 2023, the conference will be established and registered as an independent Norwegian registered non-profit foundation - the foundation Antikorrupsjonskonferansen - with a Board of Directors as the supreme body and regulated by the Norwegian Foundations Act. The foundation is registered with the Norwegian Foundation Authority.

The conference focuses on new trends and developments and the consequences of corruption. It brings together practitioners and subject-matter experts to discuss new preventive initiatives on an operational basis with participants working in the field of anticorruption. These come from government and the wider public sector, private companies, organisations focused on development and aid, as well as other civil society organisations.

The conference is non-profit based, and the registration fee is meant to cover expenses only for organizing the conferences. This yearly conference concept has presented many renowned national and international expert speakers with opening keynote addresses from the Norwegian Government and the prosecuting authorities.

The conference programs consist of information sharing and discussing the most important mitigating measures in the anticorruption compliance field for both public and private sectors. It involves searching for possibilities for expanded cooperation between the different actors to possibly achieve vital changes (“Collective Action”). Speakers and panelists represent a selection from both national and international authorities and organizations, public and private enterprises, academia, NGOs, as well as storytelling from the real world.

The members of the foundation’s Board of Directors are:

  • Helge Kvamme, Kvamme Associates AS (Chair)
  • Guro Slettemark, Transparency International Norge
  • Katarina Sætersdal, The Confederation of Norwegian Enterprise (NHO)
  • Marie Eltervaag, Advokatfirmaet Selmer AS
  • Mats Benestad, The Financial Supervisory Authority of Norway (representing himself)

The Board of Directors are supported by a conference program committee consisting of, in addition to the board members, representatives from the Norwegian National Authority for Investigation and Prosecution of Economic and Environmental Crime (ØKOKRIM).
